Eye Controls was founded in 2007 by a team of engineers and executives who have worked together in the biometric industry since 1999 successfully deploying iris recognition systems for public and employee identification and access control. This team has developed iris identification systems for airports and immigration services around the world with a demonstrated track record for reliable 24/7 operation. Eye Controls was established to design a cost-effective commercial implementation of this powerful technology and provide ID solutions needed in healthcare and other industries. The founders include:

Evan R. Smith, 44, Chief Executive Officer. Evan was a senior executive in another biometrics company and is also a registered patent attorney holding a BS in Electrical Engineering, an MBA from the Georgetown University School of Business, and is a magna cum laude graduate of Georgetown University School of Law.

Hans-Juergen Schreiber, 62, Executive Vice President. Hans is a veteran international marketing executive in the iris recognition industry, and served as a project leader for iris recognition installations around the world. Previously, Hans held senior management positions in his 20-year career with Lufthansa Airlines.

Hsiang Yi-Yu, 48, Chief Technology Officer. Mr. Yu is recognized as one of the world's foremost experts in commercial iris recognition development. Mr. Yu received his B.S. in Computer Science from Webster University, and his Masters in Computer Science from George Mason University.

Joseph Bahler, 63, Chief Systems Engineer. Joe has more than 35 years experience in digital systems, embedded computer systems, communications, and computer networks and has designed and installed iris recognition systems worldwide. Joe holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Syracuse University.
